Points are the cheapest award night in the next 6 months on the program's own site. Cents per point is worked out on the room rate before tax, because an award stay still pays taxes and fees. Points are poor value here: the cheapest award night, 43,000 points on 18 Oct and several other dates, is worth about 0.3 cents a point against a $129 room, and even the best night we found, 65,000 points on 27 Oct when cash was $494, works out at 0.76 cents. Around conventions (early March) standard awards disappear and premium rooms cost up to 469,000 points.
