Where a link on this site earns us a commission, the page says so directly above that link, every time. That covers hotel booking links, tour booking links, a travel-agency perks-booking link, and credit card links.

It never changes the rate you pay. The figure shown is the figure we saw, on the date stamped beside it, and clicking our link does not alter it.

It never changes a score or a verdict. Scores are set before a booking link is added to a page. Several stays on this site are marked not worth their rate, and the links stay in place anyway.

Every page carrying an affiliate link states this directly above the link, in the same size type as the rest of the page.

Some stays may be hosted by the property, or booked on a media rate. When that happens the page says so at the top, the rate shown is still the current public rate for the room reviewed, and the review is written the same way: no copy approval, no guaranteed coverage, and the score set before any booking link is added. We do not accept sponsored reviews, paid placements or link insertions. Where a card is mentioned, we hold it or have held it.
